... a despot needed a new groove. Mojo III: The Revenge was itching to build on his predecessor's legacies with grander, more exciting, multi-dimensional programming. He was no longer content to merely torment and kill the X-Men and his other assorted enemies. Ratings were on the decline. He needed a new product to sell.

In an effort to capitalize on the one thing that garners ratings above and beyond murder and mayhem, Mojo III turned his attention to the pornography industry. Every race Mojoworld has encountered has their own version of erotic imagery. Some quite taboo.
Having realized this, Mojo III began to experiment with a sexual element to his television programming. In doing so, he discovered another multi-versally proven truth: Sex sells.

Welcome to The Wildways. The Wildways is a dimension of television and entertainment. It's a dimension of slaves and gladiators. The ruler of this place, Mojo, is a literally spineless despot with a thirst for power. Power, in the form of ratings.
Mojo's programming, originally filled to the brim with death and destruction, is broadcast all over the multi-verse. When his ratings flag, he searches for the next big shocker to bring them back up again and he'll stop at nothing to see it happen.
That's where you come in, poor soul. One moment you're happily going on about your business, doing whatever it is you do. The next moment, you're on a set, in a world you know nothing about, being forced to play out whatever demented scene Mojo dictates. Cameras built into small, hovering drones record all the action. If you choose not to participate, some measure of force may be used... drugs, the threat of violence, actual violence... the list goes on.
Now that you're here, the question becomes: Will you play along or risk it all to try and refuse? |

2. Please remember to tag your entries! Simply tag your entries with canon: seriesnamehere. We also have a pairings tags system. While pairing tags are not required for posts, they may help you find what you're looking for.
3. You must be 18+ years old in order to play in this community! thewildways is intended for playing characters in a sexual environment and situations. In order to cover our butts on this one, we ask that everyone have a disclaimer in their journal profiles stating that they are 18+. If yours does not, the mods may contact you to request one. If you do not comply, your journal may be removed from the community.
4. This community is a dressing room where people can practice their writing in our general setting. This means that you should expect to run into all kinds of characters, including multiple versions of canon characters, original characters or even AU versions. Don't be surprised if another player's interpretation differs drastically from yours. That's what dressing rooms are for.
5. Wank and OOC drama are not acceptable! If you have issues with another player that you cannot work on your own, please contact the mods and relay the situation to us. We'll help you as much as we can. Disruptive IC actions such as godmoding or bringing OOC issues into IC are unacceptable. If you encounter any problems of such nature, please contact us with evidence.
6. In regards to underage characters: depiction of children in fiction is legal and protected by the freedom of speech. However, keep in mind that a lot of people have issues with underage characters in sexual situations. We strongly recommend that in cases where you'd rather not age up your character under the age of 13-14, the post is placed under a cut with a warning for potentially triggering content.
7. On that topic, we request that you please LJ-cut any post with potentially offensive material and include basic information in the cut text, such as generalized trigger warnings and so on. I.E: non-con trigger warning, self-harm warning, etc.
8. Respect your fellow players! Keep in mind that because this community deals with sexual content, it may touch on topics that some people find personal or triggering. Respect others' opinions and wishes, and don't be forceful! Open disrespect of others may get you removed from the community.
9. We think this should go without saying, but in case it needs to be spelled out: We have absolutely no qualms about banning someone who is a known, admitted, or convicted sex offender.

Tags should take the form of:
Pairing: !/!
Where ! can be any of the following:- f for characters who are female-bodied and female-minded
- m for characters who are male-bodied and male-minded
- other for characters who can't be readily categorized as "male" or "female", or who aren't concerned about gender or sex
- x for clearly non-human/non-humanoid characters - animals, aliens, tentacle monsters, robots, etc.
- * for anything goes
In these tags, the specification that comes first is for the character posting, and the second is for what the character is looking for. So a male character looking for female characters to play with should use the tag pairing: m/f, whereas a female character looking for tentacle monsters or aliens would use the tag pairing: f/x.
You can put multiple pairing tags on the same post.
The pairing tags are just for making posts easier to search and track, and are not intended to replace OOC notes, PMs, and other forms of player communication about preferences or IC interactions. |

Is this a Marvel dressing room?
Not at all! We've taken an obscure piece of the Marvel universe to use as the framework for this community, but it is by no means meant for Marvel characters only.
Who can post here?
Any player over the age of 18. Please have a disclaimer in your character's profile stating that you are 18+ or the journal may be removed from the community.
What characters are welcome here?
Everyone! Any age, race, sex, canon. OC's are welcome as are AU's and multiple versions of canon characters. Mojo will kidnap literally anyone for his shows.
What kind of posts are welcome?
You name it. Smut scenes, fight scenes, basic CR, fluff, anything you wish. The only catch is that it's not real and it's being filmed for distribution all over the multi-verse.
All we ask is that posts with potentially triggering material (ie: sexual assault, self-harm, etc) be placed under a cut and given a warning.
